In my work, I strive to recreate characters and settings based on my dreams and imagination, since I want them to be as lively as I envision them in my mind. This has also been implemented into my current project, Forbidden Fauna, as this is a series based on traditional scientific illustrations and research regarding the anatomy and environment of each creature. The main genre for this project is fantasy which is a main interest of mine, and it is also inspired by speculative biology which involves fictional evolutionary scenarios. Such artists including C.M. Kosemen and Wayne Barlowe have created works revolving around this idea, and viewing their work on the internet inspired me to create my own version of speculative animals.
